FESTIVALFACESGROUP GLITTER COLLAB

Ever since I found FestivalFacesGroup instagram page I have honestly fell in love with all their glitter and now Hannah, the creator has brought out her own face gems that are truly gorge! They are super easy to use which is a life saver because who wants to spend hours trying to stick on individual gems at a festival, in a small tent! There are 3 designs to choose from, two eye sets and one chest piece that is amazing! The gems are so pretty and the colours of them allow you to use whatever colour glitter you want with them! I love this gem set because its the perfect size, I love it and I used my FestivalFaces glitter mix in Indigo Moon to fill in all around the edges to add extra sparkle! They're super affordable and reusable, so you aren't wasting your money on something you can only use once! Spot me wearing all of these gems at Boardmasters Festival in less than 2 weeks!

MERMAID TEARS | LOOK 7

I love this look and I'm definitely gonna be rocking this at the festivals I'm going to! I think its one of the prettiest looks I've done, the tears are deffo my fave! I wanted to go for something a bit different with this look and try something out that I've never done before! So I used a fine glitter for the whole look and a holographicy eye shadow that is amazing especially when its used wet! Keeping with my basic makeup routine, same eyebrows, same base I just used more bronzer because I'm totally loving my Hoola Benefit bronzer at the moment! I went with a blue, bronzey, gold eye look, using a gold pigment for the inner corners of my eyes and then a yellow glitter on top, I went for a pretty sky blue for the outer corners of my eyes followed by a darker deep blue and I really love how it turned out! I feel like it really brings out the blue in my eyes and I've stuck with my trusty falsies Eyelure 141's, my fave lashes! Had to do my festi space buns, I feel like this look would be perfect with blue glitter roots, I'm definitely going to be doing a post on that soon! Let me know what sort of posts you'd like to see or like to see more of! I love doing these festi looks and I've got so many looks lined up so keep an eye put for them! I can't wait to get to my first festival so I can actually wear these looks out!!

SILVER QUEEN | LOOK 6

Look 6 is a silver, jewel filled heaven, I wanted to go for a more of a basic look for festival goers that don't want to use lots of glitter, these gems are amazing if you want a quick, simple look that looks glitzy and cute! I picked them up from New Look and they have 3/4 designs to choose from, these are very ice queeny and they're so easy to use, they're already sticky but I used glitter glue just to make sure that they were secure, which is obviously super important for festivals! I used a fine silver glitter on my eyes, using glitter glue I coated my whole lid and patted on the glitter with a flat brush, making sure to cover my whole eye up to the crease this brought the whole look together and really made my eyes shine, this glitter is really great too as it washes off so easily! I really wanna try more looks out using face gems as they're so practical for festivals and events and they look so great, the good thing about these is that they're all individual gems so you can place them wherever you want. My fave part of this look is obviously the chunky glitter tears, I used my Festival Faces glitter mix in Silver Galaxy, a mixture of silver hexagons and fine glitter, it looks great if you want to do glitter tears that stand out! I added my Rimmel London Jess Woodley lipstick in '128' Starry Eyed, which just adds that little bit of colour that finishes the look!

GLITTERY ALIEN | LOOK 3

This series of festival looks is honestly one of my faves, I get so excited thinking up new looks each week! Look 3 is very alien inspired which wasn't intended it just sort of happened, but I love it! And honestly this would be great at a festival as it would save you filling in your brows, mine normally take me about 10/20 mins so it would save me so much time hahaha! I went with the simple base makeup and then went crazy on my brows with the glitter which I then realised made me look slightly alienish but cute alien! I used my Makeup Revolution lip kit in Noble and dabbed on my Topshop eyeshadow to create a sparkly lip look, which I also used on my eyes! Its soooo pretty ! I naturally have freckles all over my face but when I wear foundation it covers them so I wanted to play around and see if I could recreate them over my foundation, they're a little messy but I think they turned out pretty cute! I'm loving my purple hair at the moment, I think it's gotta be blue next! A post will be up this week on what I've used on my hair for the pink and purple! So happy its festival season!!!!
I'm always thinking up new looks but if you have any ideas let me know!

MY CURRENT FAVES

I feel like I haven't posted a current faves in ages, this is definitely overdue! I've always wanted an electric facial brush but have never known which brand to go for, I came across this one in an Avon book and I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was only £16 which is a lot cheaper than some of the ones I've seen online! I never buy anything from Avon so was interested to see how this would work out, its battery powered which I was slightly worried about as I wanted to be able to use it in the shower but it is splash proof so I use it as soon as I'm in the shower facing away from the water and it works wonders! The brush comes with two heads, exfoliating and just a general cleansing one and they both feel really nice on my skin, I use the cleansing head every night and then the exfoliating head once a week just so that my skin doesn't dry out! I deffo recommend it to anybody that's wanting one of these but doesn't want to pay the hefty price tag, I just use my Loreal fine flowers wash with it.
These eye brushes are so pretty! They're by Makeup Revolution and they come as a set of four eyeshadow brushes, the gold handles are super lush and make them look so much more expensive than they actually are! I think I paid £12 for them which is great considering they're really good quality! They're great if you're going travelling too as they're quite compact!
I've mentioned this product in a previous post but I just love it! The Body Shop 'Sparkler' which is a little mist bottle filled with GLITTER, its so pretty and looks great sprayed on your face and body! It comes out very fine and glitters when you move which is so great for nights out, will definitely be using it at a festival to cover my whole body!

GLITZY FESTIVAL | LOOK 1

The first of many festival makeup looks, as they are my absolute favourite! As I'm already obsessed with glitter the fact that I can wear it all over my face makes me extremely happy! I'm calling this my pink, glitzy look and its honestly so simple, anyone can do it! I found these pink gems in my crafts box and I believe they were 99p from The Range which is brilliant if you don't want to spend very much on your festival looks! The glitter I bought from Ebay that's safe to use on your face and near your eyes, trust me I use this glitter on my eyes everytime I go on a night out and it's brill! I love pink so knew I'd have to do a powerful pink eye but I deffo think I can go brighter with this, so I'm going to have a look round for some bright pink eye shadows! This palette from Makeup Revolution is one of my faves though because the colours are so pretty and perfect for festivals! I'm wearing falsies but this is optional as it may be a little tricky putting them on at a festival in a tent when you'd rather be out there dancing to the acts, but as I'm going to Boardmasters Festival again this year I'm going to attempt to wear them and see how it works out, hahaha! Let me know if there's any looks you want me to try out!!

RIMMEL LONDON | JESS WOODLEY'S COLLAB

I've been so excited for this collection! After seeing sneak peaks from Jess Woodleys instagram and Rimmel London's page I couldn't wait to get my hands on it! Ive always been a massive fan of Made In Chelsea and Jess Woodley was always my fave, so knew I'd love these already! The collaboration includes 5 looks that consist of lipsticks that have a matching shade of nail varnish, she actually named them after aspects of her life, which is super cool! I picked up three shades of the lipsticks and I'm deffo going to pick up the rest, The red shade is called 'Alarm' which is very fitting and is a gorgeous shade of red, with a slight orange undertone. 'Heartbreaker' is probably my favourite shade, its a deep pink shade that looks super pretty on, and 'Starry-Eyed' such a cute name! They go on silky but dry slightly matte but aren't drying on the lips and the colour pay off is very pigmented, and they smell nice which is so rare with lipsticks! I cant wait to try the others! Let me know if you've tried any of them!
(TOP TO BOTTOM: 170 ALARM, 016 HEARTBREAKER, 128 STARRY-EYED)

THE PIXIE COLLECTION | MAYBELLINE

Okay, so maybe I was drawn in by the pretty holographic packaging but I love Maybelline's products so was excited to try these out anyway! So the packaging is super cute and I love that's its shiny and holographic but are the products even any good, I'd heard a lot about the Anti-Age Eraser concealer so was intrigued to try it out, I found that it was a little dark for my skin because I'm so pale so I need a concealer that's a lot lighter than my foundation but I have found that with a tan its the perfect shade as I use a darker foundation! It's not drying at all and actually blends in really well with my beauty sponge. It has a sponge applicator on the end which I find is really useful for areas around your nose and under the eyes. Highlighters are my fave makeup product I swear, they're just so pretty and make your skin glowy, so I couldn't wait to try this strobing stick out in shade Light Iridescent (100), I've never used a stick highlighter so was slightly worried it would drag and look blotchy but it goes on so smoothly and is really pretty on the skin, its quite sheer but definitely buildable and is perfect if you want that subtle shimmery glow!

WHAT I USE TO TONE MY HAIR | BLEACH LONDON

As I get my hair bleached I'm always looking for a toner that will get rid of the yellow, brassy tones in my hair. I'd always seen other bloggers using this Bleach London toner and I don't actually know why I'd never bought it before as I've bought a lot of their other products! So I decided to try it out and see if it would brighten and whiten my hair, the kit comes with the colourant, developer, reincarnation mask (that I LOVE!), instructions booklet and gloves. I love Bleach London's packaging, its so fun and cute and its always so clear on how you use the products. So I followed all the instructions and left it on my hair for 20 mins, then washed it out and used the reincarnation mask that honestly leaves your hair so soft and silky, I couldn't stop touching my hair after using it! After drying and styling my hair I definitely noticed that my hair was whiter and a lot of the yellow tones had gone, around my roots was still a little brassy but that may be where I need them re-bleached. I've used the purple shampoo that Bleach London do and that's also really great, so I'm going to repurchase that to use in between using the toner. Let me know if you have any recommendations for keeping bleached hair bright!

A FEW OF MY FAVOURITE THINGS

I think I'm a little bit of a sucker when it comes to new products/new releases, I'm always so excited about buying something new and trying it out in hope that it will become the new best thing in my makeup or wash bag. They always make the promotions look so pretty too ughhh!!

So I was intrigued to find out what the new L'Oréal Fine Flowers collection would be like, I mean the packaging is pink so I automatically loved it! It's a face wash that 'cleanses, purifies and softens' which are all things I definitely want for my skin, I rubbed it into my face using some warm water making sure to use circular motions covering my whole face and massaging into drier areas like around my nose and chin. I then rinsed it off with warm water, finishing with a splash of cold water and then patting my face dry with a towel. Straight away I felt that my skin was a lot softer but also felt really clean and refreshed, it doesn't really have a smell to it as I originally thought it would smell of flowers but sadly it doesn't. I applied my usual moisturiser and my skin felt ready for my makeup which I love the feeling of as I hate that grotty, built up feeling you can get with some face washes. I actually used this once in the shower when I still had makeup on to see how well it would work and I came out with near to no makeup on which I was so surprised by!

My moisturiser of choice is my old favourite the Neurtogena oil-free moisturiser that smells like grapefruit. I love the smell of it as it actually smells like what it says on the packaging, again the tube is pink which I love! This moisturiser leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth, my skin feels replenished and cleansed, it's a great base for my makeup as it's not oily and doesn't leave your skin sticky.

I definitely think there's a pink theme going on here!! One of my best friends kindly gifted me this new lip kit and I'm in just as much love as I was with my other Makeup Revolution lip kit in Noble. This ones called 'Grandee' and it's a light pink almost Barbie pink but not as bright and it looks so good with a dark eye! Let me know which lip kit I should try out next!

MY BROWS | WHAT I USE ON MY BROWS

My brows are probably my most favourite AND most frustrating part of my makeup routine. Now I know they're supposed to be sisters not twins but I hate it when one looks better than the other, everyone has that one eyebrow that always lets them down but the other stands up to take first place.! Hahaha!! I've been using Makeup Revolutions eyebrow palette for over a month now and I love it, I really like my brows to be darker so the shades in this light/medium palette are perfect if you want a darker brow without them looking black. It comes with 2 cream brow colours, and 4 powders that you can use to go over your cream colour if you want a more defined look. It also comes with a cream base that you can actually use above and underneath your brows to neaten them up with I think is so useful and it goes on so nicely as it's not drying, I never really use the little brushes that come with eyebrow kits but these are super cute if you're going away or travelling and don't want to take too many makeup brushes, especially the tweezers which are super handy! I like to use this eco tools slanted eyeliner brush to draw in my brows as its thin and creates a sharper liner, I then use this spoolie brush from Primark to neaten them up! The fact that this palette costs £7.99 makes me love it more because the quality of it is so good, my eyebrows don't budge all day and once the brow cream is on it dries super quickly so even if you're in a rush this is perfect for you!

REVOLUTION MATTE LIP KIT | REVIEW

Ive been looking for a brown matte lipstick in so long, but have never found one that I love! They've always been too nude or too orangey, so when I picked up this liquid lipstick by Revolution I was sceptical but excited to try it out. I LOVE it and I honestly wear it all the time, it has such a creamy consistency and doesn't dry out my lips! The colour pay off is super rich and so true to the colour advertised on the front of the packaging, it comes with a lip liner and a liquid lipstick that both match perfectly. Sometimes I like to overline my lips slightly and by using the lipliner first it looks super natural! I'm so excited to try out the other shades!

LOREAL EYE PAINTS | REVIEW

How pretty are these colours? I couldn't not pick these new Loreal Paris Infallible eye paints up, I got them in the shades 104, 201 and 301 and I definitely think I'm going to pick up the other colours! They're super creamy and are so highly pigmented. You could wear them just on their own and they speak for themselves, such a look! But you can also blend them out to create a more muted look. You can also use them as an eyeliner, with a fine angled brush. I'm definitely going to be trying more looks with these! Let me know what colours you would try.

MINI BODYSHOP HAUL

So Bodyshop isn't usually a shop I find myself in but I fancied having a look around to see what they had, there always seems to be so many different products that I get confused with which is which! So I stuck to the basics and found some pretty body mists/sprays that smell absolutely amazing, Italian Summer Fig that smells musky but super pretty and the bottle is equally pretty! Vineyard Peach is super peachy I could eat it, it smells that good! My favourite purchase has definitely got to be The Sparkler, its a glitter spritz for when you need a little extra shimmer! It looks gorgeous on and doesn't look tacky or too much, super pretty and perfect for nights out! (featuring my fave book at the moment 'The Healthy Life' by Jessica Sepel).
